Add.MS a/649, a book with forty-three letters pasted in, mainly from Aulay Macaulay to John Nichols., but also including letters from Aulay's son John, his wife Anne (née Heyrick), and John Nichols' son John Bowyer Nichols, was originally included in this catalogue. The letters in this book once had the reference numbers BABN/24/1-43. However, the book has a quite different provenance so has been re-catalogued and now has its own reference in the Additional Manuscripts series.
