Letters from Mary Babington to her husband-to-be James Parker, some written before their marriage on 29 Jun 1829, but most afterwards. Additions and enclosures as follows: notes from Mary's mother Jean Babington, née Macaulay, to her son-in-law; note from Mary's brother Matthew Babington to his brother-in-law; letters from Sir John Vaughan, Baron of the Exchequer, to Thomas Babington and Mr Heyrick, with one from Mr Heyrick to Mary Parker [all dating from Jul 1832]; note from Mary's mother-in-law Margaret Parker, née Rainy, to her son James; notes from Mary's daughter Mary Ellen (later Rose) to her father.

Letter of 11 Sept 1835 has a section addressed by Mary Parker to her sister in law Annie Parker, later Cardwell, with an addition from Annie Parker to her brother James. Letter of 25 Sept 1835 has a section addressed by Mary Parker to her mother Jean.
