History
Thomas Bragg died on Sunday, 21 June 1840, at 22 Denmark Street, Camberwell. An inquest was held on the death on 8 July, the police having received information that Bragg 'formerly an opulent engraver', had been poisoned, but the jury returned a verdict that he had died of paralysis. He was buried at St Giles's church, Camberwell, on 10 July.
According to the burial register Bragg was 86 at the time of his death, but the newspaper reports of the inquest gave his age as 95.
