Scope and content

Allerly by Melrose - Thanks WW for his letter and treatise on Astronomy and General Physics: 'I never derived more pleasure or instruction from any other book'. DB's time has been totally occupied in sorting out the affairs of his late brother-in-law Macpherson of Belville. Thanks WW for his account of DB's labours in the Mineralogical Report [Report on the Recent Progress and Present State of Mineralogy, Report of the First and Second Meetings of the BAAS, 1832]. Wishes WW would be asked to produce a BAAS Report on modern discoveries respecting light.
