In folder labelled, "Lettice & Lovage original manuscript (Typed out by P.S.), Complete Nov. 1986" with note at bottom also in Shaffer's hand, "with a note about the ending added in Sept. 2003." The title and preliminary pages are interfiled with pages for the January 1990 New York script, but the draft does not include the ending which is his preferred version of the play (as Shaffer states in a note from 2003 on the last page). Typescript has been heavily revised in Shaffer's hand with occasional other hands as well.
