        History

        The son of Thomas Hebbes of London, he attended Westminster School, and was admitted to Trinity 27 May 1752. He became a scholar and matriculated at the University at Easter, 1753. He obtained his BA in 1756 and his MA in 1759, and served as Chaplain of Trinity 1758-1760. He served as Vicar of Herne Hill (Hernhill), Kent 1760-1766, and died on 30 December 1766.
