        In 1871 it was announced that Horstmann was about to edit, 'at Münster, in Westphalia', a manuscript poem in the Bodleian Library entitled 'Le Enfaunce de Jesus Christ' (Tyrone Constitution, 26 May 1871, p. 4.

        Horstmann came over to England from Berlin for six months in 1886 to edit the 'Southern collection of Early English Lives of the Saints' for the Early English Text Society (Banbury Advertiser, 4 Nov. 1886, p. 7).

        'Messrs. Swan Sonneschein and Co. announce the publication of the second volume of the inedited works of Richard Rolle of Hampole, edited from the manuscripts by Dr. Carl Horstmann, of Berlin' (American Historical Review, vol. 1, no. 4 (July 1896), p. 777).
