Photograph of thirteen men posed in front of a pavilion with names, colleges, and sport in caption below, taken by Stearn & Sons, Cambridge. Besides Thompson for the High Jump, the group includes Harold Abrahams, President of the Athletic Club in front, E. C. Kennedy of Queens College (100 Yards, 2nd 1/4 Mile), A. G. G. Marshall of Jesus College (1/4 and 1/2 Mile), R. S. Starr of Christ's College (2nd Half Mile), J. J. Sweeney of Jesus College (Weight), and P. Wyn-Harris of Gonville and Caius College (3 Miles).

The identified items include photographs of holidays in Wales in 1934, Yorkshire in 1935, France in 1936, and Austria in 1937, as well as ‘home scenes’ and Neild’s school at Abinger Hill, in Surrey. They show Neild himself, as well as various family members and friends.

Two mounted photographs, signed J Palmer Clarke at lower right. One depicts Great Court from the roof of the Chapel looking across to the fountain, and the southwest corner showing the diggings, preparation, large piles of dirt, paving, and pipes. The other shows approximately 125 workmen gathered on the steps outside the Hall, with the screens passage open and two windows on the southeast corner of the Essex building visible behind the group.
