Leckhampton, Cambridge; on notepaper embossed with stamp of Education Department, Whitehall. - Has just received 'this letter' [no longer present]; has shown it to Sidgwick, and with his agreement is writing to [E.T.?] Bennett to ask him to send particulars to Browne and [E. R.?] Pease, in the hope that either or both may be able to go; 'Teetjen [?], or whatever his name is, is I fancy an undoubtedly honest man - a tea merchant I think. If the phenomena are false he is probably humbugged by his clerks or maidservants'. Sidgwick visited a while ago and 'got worthless phenomena, but thought everyone honest and the case worth keeping an eye on'.
