Dated 3 July, 1896 - Sends him a copy of his ['Ritual, Myth, and Customs of the Australian Aborigines, a Short Study in Comparative Ethnology'] and indicates that while it is a popular work, there are some information which is new: sacrifice at the Bora Ceremony, the Barwon legend of the creation and notes about cave paintings and art of the 'aborigines'; asks for advice on further writing and publishing.
