Westwood, Clitheroe. Dated 2nd February, 1922 - Gives some local instances of folklore mentioned in 'Folk-lore in the Old Testament': if a younger sibling marries before the elder, the elder dances in stocking feet at the wedding; if a cow aborts a calf, that calf is buried under the gateway by which the cows enter and leave the farmyard to prevent the other cows doing the same; cites a Court Roll of the Manor of Downham near Clitheroe about a case in which a man was prosecuted for refusing to help carry a neighbour's deceased wife to be buried.
