Dated March 29th, 1909 - Heard his lectures on supersition and has been reading ['Psyche's Task'] and discusses a number of Biblical references on which his ideas throw new light; argues that the belief in immortality is not the only belief that has retarded the economic and social progress of mankind; challenges Frazer's view that it is an accident that man moves steadily upwards.
