R.] Marett and [Elliott] Smith has had a happy ending; he wonders why she stays at Trinity so little; he will go to the Folklore conference with them, and to the Madame Renan fête; he does not know the 'Voyages' of Renan, wonders how that is.

He writes that he is sorry to hear she is not happy, and that the hotel is too loud; is concerned about Frazer's eyes and mode of working and need to rest his eyes; details his plans to travel to France; mentions having normal vision but that after three hours of writing he tires; Has put the print of the Trinity gate up in a corner full of her souvenirs; is sorry to hear they have left the Goldsmith [building]; is happy to hear of a conference in Sir James' honour.

Ceccaldi that she makes miracles; admires her stoicism and serenity; congratulates her on "Pasha [the Pom]"; includes a subscription form for ["Anthologia Anthropologica"?]; her husband has been busy with the usual theses to read, committee meettings, etc., and she has been working on her book "Parnassiens, Symbolistes et Décadents"; next trimester will be busy with the 500th anniversary of All Souls, there will be the opening of a new wing to the Taylor; they will be going on a trip around Scotland, and will visit especially those places associated with Mary Stuart.

Sources of Information' [later titled 'Totemica']. Notes in an unidentified hand, with an index for the first two volumes in J. G. Frazer’s hand. Four photographic postcards of Corsica, with undated notes by [François Ceccaldi?] on the verso of two describing the scene depicted and inviting them to visit, were laid in loose to the second volume.
