Part of Papers of Sir Peter Shaffer

[At top: Jack G. O'Brien] - Describes his experience of returning to see 'Equus' a second time, was even more deeply moved; even had a 'crazy person' in the audience, who briefly talked back to the audience, and eventually stalked out, which he thinks served to boost the adrenaline level of the cast; notes the cast remains gracious and humble and that there is no less an event backstage after the performance than out front.

Part of Papers of Sir Peter Shaffer

[At top: Jack G. O'Brien] - Sends his congratulations for a beautiful play; remembers saying the night PS and Victor [Spinelli?] and Ellis [Rabb?] came to his apartment that PS was 'the only playwright working today who uses the stage for something more than a tiny incubator for one's private breath'.
