Is very glad that Trevelyan and Bessie rate the book ["Maurice"?] so highly. Wishes they could talk it over together, as he will not now see them for a long time. Asks him to return the manuscript to Florence Barger in Edinburgh. Presumes the Trevelyans have let their house; the Darlings have asked him to find them one.

Weybridge. - Asks if Trevelyan can lend him the second volume of Héloïse and Abelard, as he is much enjoying the first; would return them together, with Petronius. Is going to Scotland on 14th August; asks if either of the Trevelyans will be in London before then. Mrs [Josie] Darling is in town as well.
