Over 100 photographs from Barbara Nixon's schooldays at Bedales with class photographs and candid images of classmates, of interior and exterior views of Bedales buildings including the library, fives court, swimming pool, and images of theatre productions that Barbara Nixon acted in, with candids of sports events, and haying, with some images at the end of the album of family members[?]. None of the captions pasted in to the album carry captions. There are nine photographs laid in loose, one of which identifies her as Juliet in a Bedales production in June 1926, another photograph of a large group identified as 'Plebs Summer School', Whitsun, 1924, and one shows airplanes flying in formation.

Includes a large head and shoulders portrait by an unidentified photographer; a photograph as part of the Newnham College 1st lacrosse team dated 1926-1927; two later portraits by an unidentified photographer, one portrait of her[?] in Elizabethan dress for an acting role by Norman May & Co. Ltd., Cheltenham; one photograph published in the Daily Sketch dated 3 Jan. 1931 advertising her appearance in 'Betrayal' at the Little Theatre, and two photographs taken by the Cambridge Daily News when she was much older, and another photograph of her as a little older still by an unidentified photographer.
