Written by the son of the Rev. Thomas Kidd, enclosing his father's books which he is donating to Trinity College and explaining the connection to Richard Porson and mentioning that he has annotated the copy of "The Persae".

Three notebooks with sewn paper wrappers, all tied together with string, possibly created by Thomas Kidd [?], whose son donated the notebooks. The first notebook contains biographical notes on John Pearson, and the second and third notebooks contain MS copies of printed items. The second notebook is a copy of Gabriel Towerson's A briefe account of some expressions in Saint Athanasius his Creed for the satisfaction of those who think themselves thereby oblig'd, to believe all things therein contain'd to be absolutely necessary to salvation. A document dated 28 Aug. 1849 and sent on to Trinity dated 10 June 1850 lists five items donated to the Master and Fellows of Trinity College by Thomas Kidd, and encloses the original grant of the office of Master to Richard Bentley, with the letter from Thomas Thorpe to Kidd dated 8 Feb. 1830 by which he presented it to Thorpe. Some of the books donated carried annotations by Richard Porson.
