The Manor House, Hoole, Preston - The Committee have decided that Horrocks's Parish Church shall be beautiful with a suitably designed chancel and enlarged by 30 pew sittings. Will WW give them his subscription. RB is hoping for a sermon or meeting in Preston on the subject of Religion and Science. They would appreciate WW's counsel as to the language to be used for an inscription on a tablet (memorial for Jeremiah Horrocks).

The Manor House, Hoole, Preston - Thanks WW for his helpful note. RB read WW's History of the Inductive Sciences a few years ago but does not remember him mentioning [Jeremiah] Horrocks. RB names some of the well known patrons subscribing to the Horrocks Memorial Fund, and would like WW to agree to add his name. If RB can find more than a hundred pounds he would like to purchase a field and call it Horrocks Field.
