Leason Castle, nr. Liverpool - The Italian style of architecture is the most superior for picture galleries. EC was not impressed with the plans for the Fitzwilliam Museum and sent a design by W. Barry 'prepared at my desire' to Cambridge. The Vice-Chancellor refused to receive it. As an authority on architecture could WW at least get the design seen.
