Ms. of a summary of the paper Taylor intended to present at the 13th International Congress of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in Moscow in September 1972. The work was published in a joint paper with D.H. Michael, who presented it at the Moscow Congress on behalf of Taylor.
The ms., and the accompanying 3 pp. of laboratory observations dated 16 March 1972, are in Taylor's hand, and there is a ms. note of background information by Batchelor on the front page.
