Mainly correspondence relating to the research and publication of a joint paper `On making holes in a sheet of fluid', J. Fluid Mech., 58, 1973. The correspondence runs July 1971-April 1973, and consists of the originals of Michael's letters to Taylor, and photocopies of Taylor's letters to Michael, kindly made available by Michael.
This was one of Taylor's last pieces of research, which he had hoped to present at the 13th International Congress for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Moscow, September 1972. In the event, he was unable to attend and the paper was read for him by Michael.
