Part of Papers of Otto Frisch

Photocopy of a letter about 'the activities of Dr. Peierls and Dr. Frisch' on the Los Alamos project, dated 6 August 1946 and declassified 7 April 1982. Part of Papers of Sir George Paget Thomson

Contains miscellaneous bundles of calculations, mainly in Thomson's hand. None are dated, but some relate to a letter from Thomson to R. Peierls, 13 August 1940, a copy of which is included in the folder. Also included is a letter from J.L. Michiels, 12 January 1940.

A later note by Thomson on the front of the folder reads `Most of my papers on this subject are at Churchill College' [Cambridge]. Churchill College holds one box of papers relating to the MAUD Committee which Thomson deposited at the request of Sir John Cockcroft in 1966. Permission to consult these should be obtained from The Archivist, Churchill College, Cambridge.
