121 Bould. Saint-Michel (Ve) - Answers the points in her letter in order: has written to Moret, would like to see him before he calls on Geuthner again; will see Geuthner again and tell him to hurry and publish; thanks her for pointing out that he has cheated himself of 50 francs; has done the first 'tranche' for 'Taboo' and is sending it separately.

Part of Papers of Sir James Frazer

121 Bould Saint-Michel, Paris (Ve) - Is sorry she is unwell and is sorry she doesn't seem happy about what he has been doing about Geuthner; has called on Geuthner again and asked him to print the Isis at once; expects to have 'Tabou' ready in a week or two; hasn't yet made up his mind about next year, but Paris is too expensive, and they seem to be plunged into financial trouble and the exchange is going to fall down again.

Part of Papers of Sir James Frazer

Adding a few words to his letter of the day before, he had not realised the importance of the award of the Order of Merit, is very proud to try to help the French public know him as he deserves to be known; also congratulates her, as it is due to her efforts that J. G. has been able to do what he is done; will begin 'Taboo' as she suggested.

Part of Papers of Sir James Frazer

121 Bould Saint-Michel (Ve) - Makes arrangements to translate 'Tabou et les Périls de l'Ame'; does not know Geuthner, but will write him; does not want to return to the Perse School next year, 'the work is rather tedious, (even more, I think, than in a French lycée), takes up much time & is poorly paid'; 'The dying God' is 'le dieu qui meurt' not 'le dieu meurant'.
