A fair copy in English of birthday greetings on Frazer's 80th birthday, signed on the original by Hoffman, Krayer [Eduard Hoffmann-Krayer?], [Felix?] Speiser, Baechtold. Accompanied by a summary of the Society for French Folklore and Colonial Folklore' s meeting 11 Jan., honoring Frazer on his 80th birthday and noting that through an anonymous donor the Society is subscribing to 19 copies of the Frazer bibliography.

The University, Glasgow - Thanks her for the book ['The Fear of the Dead in Primitive Religion'?] which he will place in University Library; as for her suggestion about the 'Totemica', he will bring it to University Court but similar proposals have not been accepted; hasn't heard anything about a Frazer Lecturer for 1936, and doesn't think an invitation has been sent to Mr [Warren?] Dawson, and will keep in mind her suggestion of Professor Speiser; hope they are standing the heat, is writing from his cottage at Loch Tay, where it has been 80° in their bedroom at midnight.

Bound volume in Frazer's hand, with 11 pp. of bibliography; 2 pp. of queries for the third proofs of ‘Myths and the Origin of Fire’; 34 pp. of notes on Platonism, mostly taken from W. Lutosławski's 'Origin and Growth of Plato's Logic', and 10 pp. of notes from Felix Speiser’s 'Im Düster des brasilianischen Urwalds' and from Pierre Barrere’s 'Nouvelle Relation de la France Equinoxiale'.
