The Hermitage, Hitchin. Dated 22 May, 1889 - Thanks him for his information about Burmah, explains that the division of land is made it is done in strips, and is not connected with ploughing, believes that in Scotland and Ireland this is done, and is a holdover from an ancient Eastern habit.
