Smith leave him unconvinced about the historical Jesus, and quotes Salomon Reinach on the point; will talk over the Couchoud pamphlet and Flinders Petrie's 'Social Life in Ancient Egypt' with [George] Whale; have just returned from Italy; [A. C.] Haddon sails for Australia on 30 June.
