Barskimming, Mauchline, Ayrshire. Dated 18th February - Encloses a letter [transcribed] and newspaper report [not transcribed]; her correspondent MacKenzie, is the Sheriff substitute at Kilmarnoch; has she heard the Miss Browns of Portdarroch[?] have inherited money from a cousin.

The letter enclosed, from David J. MacKenzie in Barassie, Troon, Ayrshire to Miss Anderson is about the old ceremony of 'Up-Hally-a' in Shetland.

Barassie, Troon, Ayrshire. 28th Feb. 1913 - Hears from Miss [Marianne] Anderson that she forwarded Frazer his notes on 'Up Helly A' festival in Shetland, thinks the 'Burning of the Clavie' at Burghead at Morayshire is more interesting.
