Thanks Bessy for her 'encouraging' letter. Glad she liked the article on Walford [Davies], which 'had to be written in a hurry' when he 'wasn't feeling well'; some bad misprints, and he particularly objects to '"beauty of intention" (which is an insult) instead of "beauty of invention"!'
