They have had a 'very lovely Christmas with a huge tree & many other candles & decorations in the best German fashion'. His children gave him a Christmas card with a 'Christmas song' by his five year old son, dictated to his seven year old daughter. '"A Christmas Song" by Rolf to Daddy' is typed out at the end of the letter.
