B.] Cook's etymological notes, on 'Quirinus', 'vir', 'vira', 'Virgan', offers opinions on his equations of the equation of 'b' and 'g', the derivation of 'Feronia', and warns against equating German forms of letters with Latin.

B.] Cook's etymological questions, such as 'Can "Egeria" be for "Aegeria" and that mean oak-goddess?'; Cook is supporting his etymologies with arguments drawn from mythology and archaeology, and is to write a paper for a classical periodical; he is in contact with Giles as well.

Llanishen, near Cardiff. Dated January 26, 1903 - Responds to Frazer's numbered questions [from his letter of 19 January 1903, Add.Ms.b.35.215]; recommends [A. B.] Cook use Brugmann's 'Grundriss' [der vergleichenden Grammatik der indogermanischen Sprachen].

Llanishen, near Cardiff. Dated February 2, 1903 - Thanks him for his letter, points out that [James Hope] Moulton's veto should carry more weight, as Moulton is a Greek specialist and Conway a Latin specialist.

4 Parkside. Dated Wed. 28 Jan. - Forwards [R. S.] Conway's letter and his own [likely Add.Ms.b.35.215 and 218] and doubts, given the objection of [James Hope] Moulton and Conway, whether he should use Cook's suggestions.

Richmond Lodge, Bowdon, Cheshire - Is very happy with the proposed gift to the Boyd Dawkins Library; last year she asked George Macmillan to keep an eye on Professor Sayce; reacts to Professor Conway's childishness, says he is a man of moods and prejudices, but his whims are a small price to pay for contact with his mind.
