Postscript: applications are required by the 14th.
32 Weymouth St., Portland Place, W. - Condolences on the death of Lady Houghton; notes that her husband admired her, as did Hawthorne and Leigh Hunt.
New Bridge Street, Vauxhall. - Seeks Milnes' interest to obtain position of Inspector of Incomes at £150 a year; his father or Mr Procter can supply references; father has promised a place in his office, but is delicate about realising it; anxious about wife; has carried out Milnes' wishes concerning Rider.
