With enclosure: letter from Richard Moxon to Joseph Hammond, 5 Oct. 1877, Pontefract. - Objects to Hammonds description of Pontefract as the most drunken town in England; any intemperance is due to the presence of migrant workers; Moxon will continue to exercise Mayor's prerogative to distribute wine after church services; withdraws support for bazaar to fund alterations at parsonage.
