Holmfield House. - The policeman of Brotherton has just called with the news that the 'reputable Inhabitants of that town', understanding that an address has been made to Milnes' father 'begging him to forgive the Gang of Poachers he has a Warrant out against', hopes that the 'as far as the two older are concerned he will not listen to it, as they are two most notorious Thieves as well as poachers'. Does not have Milnes' father's address and is 'sorry to hear of his fiacre Accident'; hopes is not as bad as reported. Hopes 'the corn law Agitation will be satisfied as wheat is now falling in price Weekly'.
