Keir, Dunblane - Called on Toovey for books, but he has sent them all to Milnes; requests his own portion of the consignment. [Richard] Ford did not write the Salutation article in the Quarterly; he insisted the Spanish banalities were unworthy of him and suggested Dr. [Hawtrey?] as possible author; epitaph should reflect flippant character; beautiful autumn weather. Postscript: [Thomas?] Rodd sale seemingly endless; has sent commissions to Bumstead.
