H.M. Ship Waterloo, Sheerness. - Has kitted himself out with Milnes' gift and is now an ordinary seaman; the 'Govenor' [sic] did not believe he was a sailor; explained he had lost everything in shipwreck of 15 Dec. 1849; name could not be traced to shipowners as it had been incorrectly recorded. Captain is the Hon. Montagu Stopford.
