Some undated letters.
19: Includes printed invitation to funeral of Allan McNaughton, 11 May 1847, with note in Cameron's hand that McNaughton [perhaps a neighbour?] leaves a wife and three young children.
3 Church Lane, Lee by Blackheath. - Has been a tutor here for six months; would like a similar post when this one finishes.
13 Norfolk Street, Ardwick Green. - Miss Gaskell sent Milnes' note; went to Polygon on north side of Manchester, near which 'the younger Mr Fairbairn' lives and missed meeting Milnes at the Ardwick Green one [home of Fairbairn's father]; heard him in the Free Trade Hall on Thursday night. Thanks him for note on Yarns by a Manchester Spinner; many are badly spun.
46 Moreton Street, Strangeways, Manchester. - Has sent testimonials to [British?] Museum; work on its Library catalogue is alleged to be halted, 'as a work which threatened to be interminable'; fears this will mean there are no vacancies.
46 Moreton Street, Strangeways, Manchester. - Milnes offered loans on hearing of Cameron's misfortunes in Scotland and afterwards; came here from Oulton and eked a living teaching Latin and mathematics; requests loan of £20 or £25.
