Widmore Cottage, Bromley, Kent. - Sorry to hear of fire damage to Houghton's manuscripts but hopes he might notice something in looking through them. Nathaniel Parker Forth was detained in France after the rupture of the Peace of Amiens and died there in 1809; payments to him by the French Royal Family. Henfrey's grandmother, Forth's daughter, used to recount his exploits, including a tale of his having saved Marie Antoinette from the mob.
