'The Mayor of Pontefract hopes that, as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Lord Houghton, who was so long associated with the Borough, the Tradesmen and Inhabitants will close their Places of Business to-morrow (Thursday) at 2 o'clock, the day appointed for the funeral.
