Shows 'Mr Harry Spyers' [Henry Almack Spyers, teacher at and later headteacher of the school], 'Mr [Arthur?] Gwyther' and 'Mr Stephens' seated outside the school, with a small group of boys gathered around them, named below. Arthur Hamilton Smith is seated on the ground on the left and Henry Babington Smith on the right; also pictured are Clifton, Mylrea, Tait, Hooker, O'Callaghan, Punchard, Wilson and Froom. As well as the place and date, the photograph is labelled above 'William Tell' and 'Box and Cox'; these may have been performed that term [the third picture on this page shows boys in costume].

Arthur Hamilton Smith is on the far left at the back and Henry Babington Smith on the far right; also pictured are Sim, Widnell, Hooker, Tate, Rollo, Petala, Punchard, Froom and O'Callaghan. As well as the place and date, the photograph is labelled above 'Cherry Bounce' and 'The Area Belle'; these are both Victorian farces which may have been performed that term [the third picture on this page shows boys in costume].
