Pontefract. - Addressed to Lord Houghton at Fryston Park. Bill 'For Medicines Applications and professional attendance upon Lord Houghton, Lady Houghton, The Honble Miss Milnes and Servants' in Jan.-May, Aug., Oct. and Nov. 1871, as well as 'For Surgical Aid'.

Stamp noting the receipt of the balance pasted in at bottom and dated '30 Mar. 1872' over the top, with Charles Grabham's signature as witness.

Informing Milnes that Dr. Oxley thinks his father is 'most seriously ill' and wishes Milnes to come. 'Obstruction continues. Brain clear'.

Telegram handed in at Knottingley and received at Edgware.

Pontefract. - Recommends a Mr Broughton for a post in the Customs or Somerset House; Milnes' wife and daughter should visit the seaside.
