The sketch is captioned ‘Mr John Thornton in his new & original character of “Little Bo-Peep” in the favourite tragedy of “Faithless Jack” as he appeared when singing | Oh poor John T– has lost his d– | & cannot tell where to find him. | I'll leave him alone & he’ll come home | & bring his stink behind him.’ The drawing is marked with Fox’s tiny monogram.
