Weem Hotel, Aberfeldy. - His friend William Rathbone, MP for Liverpool, has had his name on the list for the Athenaeum for about ten years. Hears that 'it is contemplated to admit a large number of members without a ballot', and hopes that Rathbone's 'very eminent services in the cause of the suffering Poor and his very liberal & unostentatious benefactions may have sufficient weight with the Committee'.
