Part of Papers of Richard Monckton Milnes, Lord Houghton

F[oreign] O[ffice]. - Has been out of town since Saturday but his 'first - very first question - on getting back was to know the result of the Travellers Ballot'. Is very glad of Milnes' election, and his only regret 'is that the Club have been such a set of damned fools to keep themselves waiting so long for you as a Member'.
