Undated. ‘¿Aug?’ supplied in pencil at top of letter. Pasted to the reverse is a newspaper clipping which mentions the second edition of Hallam’s Constitutional History of England and the fifth edition of his History of the Middle Ages. This is curious as the fifth edition of History of the Middle Ages was published simultaneously with the third edition of Constitutional History of England, on 20 January 1833 (see The Examiner).

Relates to the Goldsmiths' Company. Names Walter Prideaux - the clerk to Goldsmith's Hall - as his partner. Sent from Brighton.
