John Leslie and others have witnessed it and are 'perfectly satisfied'. JDF has been so absorbed in electro magnetical experiments that he has made hardly any progress with his report [Report upon the Recent Progress and Present State of Meteorology, drawn up at the Request of the BAAS, 1832].
