Jones, Leonard Stanley (1914-1936) Trinity College student

Leonard was the son of George Charles Jones and Esther née Kilbey, born 3 March 1914, the youngest of 11 children. He attended Latymer School, where he was Head Boy, and excelled in music and creative writing. He was admitted to Trinity College in Michaelmas Term 1933 and was still a student at his death on 15 Jan. 1936. He joined Magpie & Stump, was the lead in the French play put on by the Société française de l'Universite de Cambridge his first year, joined the Trinity College Musical Club, sang in the Trinity College Madrigal Choir, and played Squash. There is some mystery about his death, which appears to have been related to mental illness.
