Scope and content
2 Devana Terrace, Cambridge.—While transferring her books and papers from college she discovered a bundle of old unanswered letters, including a note from McKerrow offering to second her election to the Bibliographical Society, with Miss Fegan as proposer. She would have loved to accept the offer at the time, but now declines, as she has just retired from her lectureship at Newnham. Apologises for her discourtesy, and recalls when they sat on the same bench at the ‘Arch’ [the Archaeological Museum] to attend the lectures of Sir Israel Gollancz and others.
