Transcript

18 May 1936.

Dear Dr McKerrow,

Herewith your notes &c. to Act II. {1} I have annotated them as gaudily as I can to show the flag is still flying! If I have passed over a point in silence it is because I felt satisfied about it & if I have raised any further questions which seem to you unnecessary, I hope you will just ignore them.

Yours sincerely,
Alice Walker.
