Scope and content

58 Albion Street, Leeds. - In 1859 Houghton's late father sold a piece of land at Hunslet to some Methodists for £2 6x per yard; in 1862 Houghton himself sold a smaller quantity of land at the same price, as well as giving them 121 yards. The value of the land has 'much increased' since then and the land now asked for is in a 'very good situation', nearer Leeds and in one of the 'best streets'; the price now is £4 per yard. Thinks Houghton answered them 'very properly'.
