Harnham, Monument Green, Weybridge. - Cannot meet on Thursday, as his grandmother is probably visiting. Will not be at "Armide", but hopes to get to see "Samson" or "Pelleas [and Mélisande]" next week. Has been away to Wales, Oxford and Tonbridge Wells. Is trying to get his short stories published, so far with no luck. Herbert Trench has asked him to write a play for his Repertory Theatre [at the Haymarket, London], but "The Deceased Husband's Brother" 'will scarcely do'. Hopes 'the music of Theseus' [Trevelyan's "The Bride of Dionysus"?] is going well.
